The state of Iowa offers programs to help healthcare professionals, veterinarians and teachers pay off some or all of their student loans, and also offers programs that provide income bonuses to Iowans who agree to work in high-need occupations and locations. Federal programs can also help health care professionals, teachers and public servants. Awards might be based on your occupation alone, or on your occupation and geographic area served. Only federal loans qualify for loan repayment under these programs.
